The Book of Acts
The Book of Acts, Luke's sequel to his gospel account, tells the incredible story of how a small group of disciples transforms into thousands of Christ followers spread out all over the ancient world. As the message of the gospel moves out from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth, we get to eavesdrop on how the early church leaders set up worshiping communities, made tough decisions, and preserved the integrity of Jesus's message. The Spirit of God is on the move and no matter the resistance from Rome, the message of God's love just cannot be stopped. Jesus might have ascended to the Father, but Sprit now lives within God's people, and that changes everything!

Here at First Pres, we aim to be a warm, intergenerational community of Christ followers that welcome all people (and we do mean everyone!) to worship God and grow in faith. We’re just a bunch of imperfect people, committed to following Jesus and learning how to love one another more fully. We keep the mission of our church pretty simple; love God, love one another, love neighbor, and make disciples. It might be simple, but we’ve decided that’s enough to give our lives to!
