Wow! What a Kirkin’ weekend! So many of you worked so long and hard so that we could enjoy a wonderful Scottish Festival and time of worship on Sunday. The box lunch, the bake sale, the coffee bar, the dance competition, the Kids’ Korner, the weather, you name it—what a joy! And the dinner and concert on Saturday evening were amazing! We fed about 140 people on Saturday night in a lovely, classy restaurant setting with great table service by our youth, live harp music, and delicious cottage pie! Here is a picture of the lovely street scene we ate by.
The list of people to thank is SO long—because we all worked together! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Especially thanks to Jamie who was the “spark plug” for the whole event, it wouldn’t have happened without her!
On Sunday we were blessed to worship God together with 1200 of our friends! Please be praying for all who were there that they may experience God in new and profound ways and draw closer to Jesus.
This Sunday we are celebrating our “family meal”—communion and the overwhelming love of God. I hope you can join us!
Keep warm and be a light in the darkness!
