We will be streaming live Christmas caroling from the Sanctuary Dececember 5th from 12:10-12:30. Words will be on the screen so folks at home can sing along. Everyone is welcome. We will keep our masks on.
Advent is a time of getting ready. Getting ready for Jesus to come – both remembering when he came at Christmas in Bethlehem, and looking forward to when he returns on the Great Day to inaugurate His Kingdom fully on earth as it is in Heaven.
Often people use this time to do a special devotional practice as we approach the arrival of Immanuel—God With Us at Christmas. Sometimes it is a calendar, sometimes it is reading a devotional or praying around the table at dinner.
This year we are inviting everyone to join together in a “Christmas Challenge” for the month of December. This will involve getting a daily email with encouragement, posture prayers you can do, art to look at and even short Bible reading plans through YouVersion (The Bible App). If you would like to participate please tell the office (and give us the email address you’d like us to use). We also have an Advent devotionals called the Gospel of Advent available for your use.
