FPC 150th Anniversary Capital Campaign: Restoring Our Home & Welcoming Others Home

Become a part of the 150th Anniversary celebration!

In honor of 150 years of mission and ministry in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas, we are raising funds to ensure the future of our historic building, to keep it available as a spiritual home and community gathering space, and to help our homeless neighbors receive a warm welcome when moving into their own homes. Our goal is to raise $2 million to complete the initiatives below:

RESTORE ~ $925,000

Cleaning, restoring, replacing and protecting sections of the exterior sandstone, landscaping walls, stairs and delicate terra cotta features such as florets and gargoyles.

PRESERVE ~ $925,000

Replacing HVAC and other mechanical systems, upgrading the kitchen and performing building maintenance to increase energy-efficiency and preserve the facility for future.

REFRESH ~ $75,000

Modernizing and refurbishing the Common Areas to be more inviting to all that use this spiritual home and community space, such as updating paint colors, installing new flooring and replacing worn furniture.

WELCOME ~ ≈$75,000

Collaborating with community providers to assemble home-warming kits for our homeless friends moving into their own housing and other future ministry projects serving people without a home. Ten percent of authorized congregational gifts to the 150th Anniversary Campaign will be allocated to help welcome others home.

Homewarming Kits for our Homeless Friends

In conjunction with our 150th Anniversary, First Presbyterian is partnering with other communities of faith to make “homewarming kits”—starter kits for people moving out of homelessness into studio apartments.
