First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church welcomes all who seek Christ to both the 9:00 am contemporary service and the 11:00 am traditional service on Sundays. We are located on the corner of South Temple and C Street (400E) in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City.
At the 9:00 am service, contemporary music is provided by the Rising Sound praise band, while at the 11:00 am traditional service the Organist and Choir lead the congregation in hymns and anthems. The same sermon is delivered at both services by either Pastor Mike Imperiale or Pastoral Associate Christine Myers-Tegeder. After each service light refreshments are available in the fellowship area.
On the first Sunday of each month, The Lord’s Supper (communion, eucharist, sacrament) consisting of bread and grape juice is distributed for those who wish to participate.
The church provides a nursery on the second floor for children up to 3 years old at both services. At the 11:00 am traditional service, children age 3 – 5th grade are invited to the front of the church for a special children’s sermon gathered around the pastor or leader. They are then led to their classroom on the second floor for a children’s program until the end of the service. For more information visit our Children’s Ministry page.
