The 2018 Advent season begins Sunday, December 2.
The season of Advent consists of four weeks of preparing to celebrate Christmas. In the church an Advent wreath holds four large candles which remind us each successive week of the hope, the love, the peace, and the joy we receive in the birth of our Savior Jesus.
Sunday mornings at 9:00 am & 11:00 am.

Poinsettias will decorate our sanctuary during the Advent/Christmas season.
If you would like to donate a poinsettia in memory or in honor of a loved one, please print and fill out this form, pick up a form from the Fellowship Area, or fill out the online form below.
Each plant is $10.00.
Prepayment is required. Please send a check made out to “First Presbyterian Church” with “Christmas Poinsettias” in the memo.

To have an honor or memorial listed in the Christmas Eve bulletin, orders must be received by Friday, December 9, 2018.

Join us Sunday, December 16th at 7:00 pm for the annual First Presbyterian Chancel Choir Christmas Concert.
Enjoy holiday favorites and carol sing-a-longs in the historic First Presbyterian Church sanctuary.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Join us Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the joy, hope, and peace he brings to the world. The schedule of services is as follows:
4:00 pm: Children & Families Service with instant Christmas pageant for all children. Children will be able to participate in a live re-telling of the Christmas story. They will have the opportunity to pick which characters they would like to play during the telling of the story. Costumes will be provided.
8:00 pm: Traditional Candlelight Service featuring a message and special music from the Praise Band
10:30 pm: Choral Prelude Concert featuring music from the First Presbyterian Chancel Choir and soloists
11:00 pm: Traditional Candlelight Service featuring a message and special music from the Chancel Choir
These services are open to all and free of charge. Infant nursery care for children 3 years and younger will be provided for the 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm services. Children are welcome at all three services; activity packets will be available at the back of the Sanctuary. Street parking is available, with extra parking located in the U of U lots on either side of D street between South Temple and 1st Ave.
