The Holy Spirit: God In Us
This summer we’re giving special focus to the subject of the Holy Spirit—seeking a deeper understanding and a greater experience of the Spirit in our lives. Scripture tells us that the Spirit was present at creation, spoke through the prophets, descended upon Jesus at his baptism, called the church into being at Pentecost and is present within and among us now. Yet many of us find it challenging to understand who the Holy Spirit is and how the Spirit relates to our lives. This summer we’ll discover so much more about our triune God—in the person of the Holy Spirit—the one who dwells within us, comforts us, empowers us, and transforms us to live like Jesus.

Here at First Pres, we aim to be a warm, intergenerational community of Christ followers that welcome all people (and we do mean everyone!) to worship God and grow in faith. We’re just a bunch of imperfect people, committed to following Jesus and learning how to love one another more fully. We keep the mission of our church pretty simple; love God, love one another, love neighbor, and make disciples. It might be simple, but we’ve decided that’s enough to give our lives to!
